Our client is a telecoms, utilities and civil engineering company involved in the exciting and very busy Fibre/Telecoms sector which is continually growing and expanding at a rapid rate.
As a result, they are seeking a Telecoms Project Coordinator who will provide project support and perform coordination duties associated with the objectives and tasks of the Project Management team. This work will involve work across a number of fibre network rollout projects and customers, as appropriate.
Telecoms Project Coordinator's responsibilities are as follows:
Assists in the scheduling of engineers in line with project SLAs and in conjunction with the Project Coordinator Lead, Project Manager, Engineering Team Leads and Resource Coordinators.
Arranges site access, site access permits as required by the project(s) and in conjunction with the project schedule.
Materials Management: Identification of consumables and parts, placing of orders, orders tracking, co-ordination of deliveries to site;
Coordinates and tracks tools and test equipment between field staff, updating relevant systems;
Communicates to engineers and audits project documentation, arranging field quality audits as appropriate;
Reports internally and to customers, as relevant by project(s);
Creates and maintains a project specific material and distribution of all project related documentation including Project Definition Documents, Trackers, Installation completion documentation, Audit documentation, Field work packs and RAMS.
Escalates engineering issues to the Project Manager as relevant;
Manages simple profit and loss statements;
Represents the company in customer meetings/on customer conference calls
Provides financial and commercial support.
Telecoms Project Coordinators must have the following: Competencies: Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
Previous experience in the Telecoms industry would be an advantage
Good PC and Microsoft Office skills especially Microsoft Excel, Office 365 and SharePoint.
Good telephone manner and experience of dealing with difficult parties
Good geographic knowledge of UK
Good communication, organisational skills and able to work logically;
Good timekeeping essential;
Able to manage own time effectively;
Able to recognise and escalate issues and seek assistance where necessary;
Understanding of working to deadlines and able to work under pressure to deliver on multiple fronts.
