Our client is a top-tier heavy civil construction firm seeking a Preconstruction Manager with Water/Wastewater expertise!

JOB SUMMARY:

To plan, direct, and coordinate activities on Alternative Project Delivery Method (APDM) projects from pursuit to Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) ensuring goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • This role oversees all preconstruction activities for alternative delivery water/wastewater projects. This includes:

  • Pursuit and Proposal Development: Leading SOQ development, partner selection, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Preconstruction Planning: Defining scope, conducting site reviews, developing cost models and schedules, and managing risk.

  • Contract Management: Preparing GMP packages, negotiating contracts, and managing subcontractors.

  • Project Leadership: Directing project teams, ensuring schedule adherence and budget compliance, and coordinating with stakeholders.

  • Essentially, this position leads the project from the initial concept through to the start of construction, ensuring successful project delivery.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • B.A. or B.S. Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering; AND,

  • Minimum ten (10) years’ construction experience, including supervisory skills; OR,

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as determined by the hiring manager.
